Maple Cross JMI School took Rickmansworth to the sea side

The residents of Rickmansworth and surrounding areas came out on Saturday 13th May to celebrate start of Ricky Week 2017.

Both children and parents of Maple Cross JMI School dressed in the theme of “At the Seaside”. There was a sea bird hat, giant ice creams, surf boards, kites and some of the children were even going snorkling! The children handed out inflatables and leaflets promoting our forthcoming Summer Fair on Saturday 12th June.

With roads closed, the parade walked from St Joan of Arc school through the high street, up Station Road and Northway, then finally down to Church Street. Where the parade finished at St Mary’s Church who had arranged BBQ’s, rides, stalls and bouncy castles for all to enjoy.

“I liked the parade because lots of people were waving at us!” said Evie, one of our parade’s attendees.
We are very pleased to announce that Maple Cross JMI School was 2nd place!!!

“It is always lovely to see our community come out in force to celebrate Maple Cross JMI School. We are very lucky to be apart of such a great community!” Mr Roberts, Head teacher, Maple Cross JMI School
